@Anonymous "I'd love to see more Jewish women of colour on this blog, please! :)"

are there any specific ones you’d like to see?

or just Jewish women of colour in general?

arielnietzsche reblogged your photo: Dana International

I hope you know that she/he/ whatever, was born as a man, then you know became a woman. She sings good though.

Yes, I know. Dana International identifies as female, and as such I am happy to feature her on FuckYeahJewishWomen. -almostlucy

@slc315-deactivated20120224 "I hate to say it, but saying someone is "genetically" Jewish is not correct. Genes do not determine Jewish lineage. Culturally you can be, ethnically you can be considered "Ashkenazi", "Sephardi", or "Mizrahi", but those aren't genes. They're ethnicity. I just wanted to point this out for future reference. It's also unfair to those who converted and don't consider themselves any of these categories at all."

yeah the word i was looking for was ethnically, i just couldnt think of it and the next best word i thought of was [unfortunately] genetically. i agree with you 100%. (:
