Lily Collins’ maternal grandfather was definitely Jewish. I just don’t know if her grandmother was, too. As for her being Christian, that seems unlikely, since she was raised by her mother, not her father Phil.

Actually, Lily Collins has an interesting connection to her (possible) co-star in The Mortal Instruments, Logan Lerman (who is fully Jewish). Lily’s grandfather, Jack Tavelman, was from the Jewish community in Winnipeg in Canada, and moved out to L.A. The parents of Logan’s maternal grandmother were also Jews from Winnipeg, and also moved out to Los Angeles. I wonder if they knew each other.
